CAMPBELL RIVER ALLIES

Community-Based Support Program

This is a volunteer opportunity to support a woman by being a consistent and positive role-model who provides opportunities for the woman to experience success and achievement. You will be a valuable asset in supporting her to create change in her life.

There is comprehensive training with ongoing supports for you as a volunteer. The training is provided by the Campbell River and North Island Transition Society and the FASD Key Worker.

The Allies relationship is meant to empower the woman by enhancing her relationship skills, social support, and community involvement. The woman and her Ally will decide what interests they have in common and what activities they will engage in. They will then meet weekly for approximately three hours for a fun positive time together. The purpose is to let women have access to opportunities that might otherwise be unattainable.

Are you compassionate, caring, and respectful?

Do you want to make a difference in the life of another woman?

Do you want to get involved with something meaningful?

Have you got three hours a week to volunteer?

If you answered yes to these questions, you might be a candidate for becoming a community Ally! If you are interested please contact the volunteer coordinator at Rose Harbour at 250-287-7384.
