With this expanded space, we are now able to offer even more services and support to women in our community. The new facility features dedicated counseling rooms, community gathering spaces, and enhanced resources to better serve those in need.​

ABOUT

In 1985 The Campbell River Women’s Resource Centre gave birth to the Campbell River and North Island Transition Society (CRNITS). The Ann Elmore Transition House then opened in 1987. The Women’s Centre has become our most esteemed elder, and in 2019 the Campbell River and North Island Transition Society took over the administration of the Women’s Centre programs and services.

Drop - In Centre

The CRWC drop-in center offers a refuge for women and children. We provide basic needs as well as counselling, advocacy, social, educational and referral services:

  • Drop-in Support & Crisis Counselling

  • Referral Services

  • Client Mail Services

  • Access to Free Store - Women's clothing, shoes feminine hygiene, toiletries, bedding, etc.

  • Client Access to Computers, Phone, Photocopy and Fax.

  • Coffee, Tea & Snacks

  • Social Space for Women to build community.

Donation Wish List

​We are grateful to accept gently used and new donations of clothing, towels, sheets, and other supplies. Shower supplies that were very recently opened and sampled once or twice are also accepted. Please note that make-up, underwear, and personal items should be NEW only (for hygienic reasons). We respectfully ask that you only drop off donations that you, yourself might want to receive!

Unfortunately, we do not have the space to accept children’s items. All donations can made to our Transitions Thrift Store.

Volunteer Opportunities

We are always looking for new volunteers!

Volunteer are welcome to help with reception and administrative duties, sorting clothing, and special events.
