The Campbell River & North Island Transition Society humbly acknowledges its occupation of the traditional, ancestral territory of the We Wai Kai and We Wai Kum First Nations, who have a relationship with this land since time immemorial.

We recognize that 2SLGBTQI+ persons face a high risk of discrimination and abuse due to their sexual orientation, gender identity, and/or gender expression. We recognize that transgender and gender-variant individuals face the highest risk of experiencing discrimination and abuse among 2SLGBTQI+ communities. We accept gender non-conforming, non-binary, and two-spirited individuals and trans-women and their dependent children fleeing abuse.
