WOMAN OF INSPIRATION 2020

Campbell River and North Island Transition Society

NOMINATIONS SOUGHT FOR WOMEN OF INSPIRATION AWARD

The Campbell River and North Island Transition Society is seeking nominations to recognize a local woman who is making a difference in the lives of others in our community.

On International Women’s Day, which will be celebrated March 6 in Campbell River, the Society will present the annual ‘Woman of Inspiration Award’ to a woman who inspires others. The word ‘woman’ is synonymous with words like strong, empowered and intelligent and the award will be presented to a woman who encompasses such attributes.

If there is a woman in your life who has inspired you or who has made an extraordinary contribution to the community, fill out a nomination form! Forms are available at the link below, at the Campbell River Women’s Resource Centre (1116 Dogwood Street) or Transitions Thrift Store (830 13th Avenue) and are due by February 14th. Forms may be dropped off at either of those locations or at the Rose Harbour office, also at 1116 Dogwood Street. Nominations may also be emailed to aeh@annelmorehouse.ca.

The Campbell River and North Island Transition Society is a registered non-profit society with a mandate to end domestic violence and violence against women and children.

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
